The paging file, pagefile.sys, may contain a lot of sensitive information that could be easily accessed and exploited. For enhanced security, it is recommended that you change the settings so that this file's content is removed at system shutdown. This can be changed in the registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]. Create a ClearPageFileAtShutdown item with the value DWORD 1. Its disadvantage is that the computer needs more time to shut down.
