When using the classical welcome screen and the Outlook application, you are shown the number of unread messages for each user's account before logging in. This feature can be disabled in the registry. In the key " HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail" create or change the value MessageExpiryDays (DWORD) to 0.
