MiddleTower: Morex 916 CB

• The curiousness is still fighting inside me about  the Middletowers. It is possible to find some cheap and 100%-ideal one?

• At first side the case grips you by its look and design. The source´s position under the processor could discourage somebody from buying because it complicates cooling and coming to the processor.

Classical accessories

• You can face a problem with placing the 5,25" drives in case of the big ATX motherboards. On the FIC AZ11EA MB, there obstruct the capacitors and the IDE and FDD cables. In case of really long devices (e. g. mobile rack) the memory slots are obstructing. In the Morex case it depends on the MB´s size and positions of the particular parts.  

Connectors for the MB are properly labeled 

• We cannot say anything against the removable MB board, it provides many advantages, easy installation and coming to the basic components.

• Positions for drives: 4x 5,25", 2x 3,5" + 1x 3,5" for internal drives (hard disk)

• Source -  200W (for recent powerful PC´s it is not ideal).

• Size - 210(w) x 415(d) x 400(h)  (mm)

• Formats support - AT, ATX

• Price - $38

Review

• Plus - Low price. Quality look and design. Removable side covers. Slide-in MB board.  Compared to the Eurocase the position of the source over the processor could annoy somebody. 

• Minus - Low performance of sources. Possible problems with placing the 5,25" drives (the same problem as in many other cases and big MBs).

• Note: Even though we introduce the 916 CB type, the internal arrangement of other Middletowers of the Economic series is the same, the difference is just in the front plastic cover! CB label represents color difference.
